Cycle helmet, gloves and bike specific glasses
Plenty of water, a Camelbak or similar is ideal
Shoes to suit your pedals !
2 spare inner tubes and a pump to suit
Waterproof jacket is essential and clothing to suit the season strongly recommended. Cycle shorts will make your day
much more comfortable !
Off-road biking is a physical activity, so for novices, any riding you can do before the course will improve fitness
and train cycling specific muscles.
2 rides a week running up to the course will make a huge difference to your enjoyment of the day
If you cannot get out on your bike, then spinning classes are ideal preparation
